Trump undermines democracy

My pending book, How to Select an American President by James A. George and James A. Rodger (c) 2016 All Rights Reserved, discusses the importance of allegiance that is described as devotion and commitment to the U.S. Constitution and the values embodied therein. Allegiance is also a behavioral characteristic that is essential to effective leadership. One must be loyal and allegiant to one's political party and its members. One must be loyal and respectful for the three branches of government.

Donald Trump has trampled on numerous people and organizations, including the free press. He has shown disregard for minorities, women, and basic freedoms such as freedom of belief. His actions are described as unAmerican.

Republican leaders may be late in arriving at the conclusion that Trump is not good for them or for the nation.

“Republican splits grow over Trump
Fresh rifts emerge within the US Republican Party over presidential candidate Donald
Trump, as he refuses to back two senior figures in his own party.
Trump 'psychologically unbalanced.'
Trump: 'Get the baby out of here.'
Is Trump undermining democracy?”
