Dishonest President Trump

Here is what the President gets correctly, terrorism is a real and present danger. The press gets that, and so do most Americans and the free world.

Eliminating terrorists' threats is a complex job that requires diligence in foreign policy, defense, and homeland security strategy. Everyone understands that too. It is proper for him to remind us to be vigilant as he commands the government to protect us.

What is inappropriate, is lashing out at the free press in the process. That is Trump's tactic, for reasons not fully understood. It is a part of his personal behavior disorder to lash out to cover for his mistakes or policies that people don't universally support.

Trump's accusing others of being "dishonest" is oxymoronic. It is ironic too because his administration has emerged as one of ignoring facts and fabricating information that is tantamount to propaganda.

Blah, blah, blah, says the so-called President Trump.

"Trump: ‘Dishonest press’ won't report terrorist attacks
President Trump on Monday used his first speech to military service members to accuse the news media of refusing to report on terrorist attacks.
Speaking at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla., Trump rattled off a series of strikes carried out by “radical Islamic terrorists,” from the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks to recent plots carried out in Paris and Nice, France.

“It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported,” he told a group of senior commanders. “And in many cases, the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it.”
