'More with Less'

Simple taglines for simple minds don't necessarily produce essential outcomes. President Donald Trump performs a daily shtick in which he tosses Tweet-like comments to the wind intended to express his will.

Wisdom has it that results are the product of processes that are the activities performing work to create solutions and measurable outcomes. It is easy to say "what" needs to be done. It is not so easy to answer "how?"

Trump is a slow learner, evidence the fact that he has spoken all during his campaign about retiring and replacing Obamacare. His "beautiful" solution would be ready in no time. Tap, tap, tap (my foot), waiting.

"Tom Price will have the legislation standing tall the moment that his appointment to HHS Secretary is approved," said Trump.
"In a middle-of-the-night vote, the Senate confirmed Rep. Tom Price to be the next secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
The 52 to 47 vote was along party lines.
Democrats opposed Price, a Republican from Georgia because he is a key architect of undoing the Affordable Care Act and has advocated making major changes to Medicare.
Their suspicions were deepened when it was revealed Price traded health care stocks while having oversight duties of the health care industry. Price has consistently denied any wrongdoing."
CNN
Secretary Price told the President that his legislation would be ready in three weeks. Trump countered that he wants in two weeks.

Wait a minute "guys" you both said that it was in the bag long ago, all ready. It wasn't, of course. Those were lies.

Congress lied too. It doesn't have a package that works for them either.

Government as we see it is a dysfunctional pack of liars.

Trump spending plan that makes good on campaign vows puts GOP in a quandary
The president’s proposed budget would increase defense-related spending by $54 billion and cut virtually the same amount from other federal agencies while preserving Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid — setting up a potential clash with Republicans in Congress who insist those entitlement programs must be overhauled to ensure the government’s fiscal health.
