Is this obstruction of justice?

It looks like obstruction of justice to this analyst.

The House Intelligence Committee Chair Devin Nunes already appeared to be conflicted by his opening remarks in the hearing two days ago. He was trying to steer the hearing as tightly as he could in an attempt to protect President Trump. That was not his job to do. Now, there is this report that he went to Trump to brief him about the possible "inadvertent listening" to Trump and members of his campaign.

Get this straight, if the FBI is listening to Russians and the Trump campaign surrogates or Trump himself showed up, that is state's evidence and should not be shared, especially by the Committee Chair.

If the Justice Department determines that it wants to share information, that is their call.

Devin Nunes should be charged with obstruction of justice and impeached.

"Obstruction may consist of any attempt to hinder the discovery, apprehension, conviction or punishment of anyone who has committed a crime. The acts by which justice is obstructed may include bribery, murder, intimidation, and the use of physical force against witnesses, law enforcement officers or court officials."
"House Intelligence chair says ‘it’s possible’ Trump’s communications were intercepted during transition
House Intelligence Committee Chair Devin Nunes went to the White House on Wednesday afternoon to personally brief President Trump about the intelligence he says he has seen regarding surveillance of foreign nationals during the presidential transition. The surveillance could have inadvertently picked up the president or members of the transition team, the chairman said. “What I’ve read seems to me to be some level of surveillance activity, perhaps legal. I don’t know that it’s right,” Nunes said to reporters outside the White House. “I don’t know that the American people would be comfortable with what I’ve read.” “The president needs to know these intelligence reports are out there,” Nunes added. “I think the president is concerned, and he should be.” The House Intelligence Committee chairman made the statements two days after a public hearing of his panel on Monday where Comey publicly rejected Trump’s allegations that he had been wiretapped by President Obama during the campaign."

  1. Yes, it is.

"Nunes on Wednesday told reporters and the White House that he had learned from a source that the U.S. intelligence community incidentally collected information on members of Trump’s transition team and then “widely disseminated” the information internally.
But Democrats on the committee were blindsided, as were many Republicans.

Alleged surveillance of the Trump campaign became part of the committee’s investigation into Russian interference in the U.S. election after the president’s claim early this month that former President Obama wiretapped Trump Tower — making Nunes’s decision to cut out members of his own committee unusual.

The move threatened to throw the committee into open partisan warfare and sparked calls for Nunes to be removed from the chairmanship."
