Republicans have overturned democracy

The dictatorship is nearly complete.

Americans are witnessing the overthrow of Democracy and the installation of an authoritarian dictator. It is happening to result from these things:

1. Cooperation by Republicans with the Russian propaganda machine to influence Election 2016

2. Manipulation of laws and the Constitution to allow undue influence by corporations and wealthy PACs undermining one person one vote

3. Accepting a President who is in violation of the Emolument Clause, violating Misprision law, and lying incessantly as a representative of the Federal Government

4. The House of Representatives and Senate investigative committees obstructing justice by colluding with the illegal acts by President Trump

5. Disrespect for the Court and the rule of law

6. Manipulating and short circuiting legislative process to hide their actions from the citizens that they serve

Today' news is just another instance of mounting evidence that We the People are overtaken by a despicable and unAmerican regime. They are banking that the people who elected them are too stupid to resist.

"This is not normal.
Usually, by the time a major bill gets to the floor of a chamber of Congress — and has “profound impacts on an industry that makes up one-sixth of the American economy” does count as major, in case that was unclear — it has been under consideration for a matter of weeks or months. It has been thoroughly vetted in committee and debated on the chamber floor. Amendments have been proposed, debated, negotiated, and voted on. The bill has been analyzed by the Congressional Budget Office and by independent analysts. Members of Congress know what they are voting for; their constituents, if they care to, know what is in the bill.
None of that has really happened with the AHCA."

  1. IT’S FUNNY BECAUSE REPUBLICANS HAD SEVEN YEARS TO GET THIS RIGHT - And they didn’t. Jeffrey Young and Jonathan Cohn: “House Republican leaders on Friday pulled their bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act, signaling defeat on what was supposed to be a major legislative accomplishment for President Donald Trump. The news was first reported by Robert Costa of The Washington Post, who spoke to the president directly, following a meeting between Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.). Trump said he agreed to pulling the bill once Ryan made it clear the legislation lacked the votes to pass. In subsequent remarks, both Trump and Ryan indicated they were ready to move on from health care to other issues. .. ‘We came really close today, but we came up short,’ Ryan said at a press conference. ‘This is a disappointing day for us.’” [HuffPost]
