Is Pence a Leaker?

Like a sieve.

There are many bloggers and people with axes to grind including conspiracy theorists. I think it is beneficial to peruse the various ideas because among the free thinking are possibilities that become more plausible with more evidence.

A reader asked today about the possibility of VP Mike Pence being a leaker. His alleged motivation is to take down Trump to fill his shoes as Pence is in the Constitutional protocol.

There is a problem with that because if Trump is found to be illegitimate, then so too is Mike Pence. Since Mike Pence has done more than just standing by his man, his being a member of the campaign team probably tarnishes him irreparably.

A report from Bill Palmer says this.

"White House leak: Reince Priebus and Mike Pence suspect Putin is blackmailing Donald Trump

If Donald Trump’s deferential attitude toward Vladimir Putin and the intel reports of Russia holding blackmail tapes on him are enough to convince you that Trump truly is Putin’s puppet, it turns out you’re not alone. Disgruntled staffers within the White House, who have begun leaking one inside detail after another, have now shared this revelation: based on the way Trump acted during his recent phone call with Putin, even Reince Priebus and Mike Pence now suspect Putin may indeed be blackmailing Trump."

My guess is that anyone whose last name is not Trump or his son-in-law, are candidates for leaking.

  1. "The president has a congenital inability to take personal responsibility for his own mistakes. Throughout his career, he’s sought out scapegoats whenever situations get hairy. He’s doing it again amidst the continuing fallout from his decision to fire James Comey as FBI director."

    The Washington Post

  2. As Donald Trump himself confirmed, former FBI Director James Comey was fired because he was investigating Team Trump’s ties to Russia, but Trump wasn’t alone in making that decision. A bombshell report from the New York Times revealed that Vice President Mike Pence took part in this obstruction of justice.

The new report shows that a number of people in Trump’s inner circle have been involved in the Comey firing and subsequent cover-up. However, Pence’s corrupt involvement has been kept in “near secrecy,” according to the respected newspaper.

If they are so confident in their decision to let Comey go, why would Team Trump cover up Pence’s involvement? It would appear that they want to give Pence plausible deniability so that he can become president when Trump is impeached.
