Big Problems, Big Brains

James A. George
Saving America

Big Problems, Big Brains
George Orwell said to simplify the message.

Here in Canonbury, in East London on the doorstep of Eric Arthur Blair, aka, George Orwell, I am inspired to return to America to join the fight against a tyrannical government and the wave of ignorance that undermined democracy in my homeland. In the past two years, I published two books aimed at all literate Americans to help them make better decisions.
I published, How to Select an American President by James A. George and James A. Rodger (c) 2017 Archway Publishing. That book began in 2011 intended for Election 2012 though Wiley and Oxford Press didn’t publish it because they believed that it was too hard for the mass audience. Wiley published Smart Data, Enterprise Performance Optimization Strategy (c) 2010 by James A. George and James A. Rodger. That academic book was a technical treatise on how to improve the performance of massively complex government and commercial enterprises.

Our desire was that President Obama and his administrators would read it and improve their management approach. Most didn’t read it and flaws in their management can be linked directly to their under performing. People trying to do the right things will not succeed unless they employ the best approaches and processes. Since then, many people in the world have embraced “Smart Data,” though American government leaders outside the Department of Defense failed. Without continuity in leadership and reinforcement, best practices are overwhelmed by mediocrity.

President Trump has made it worse by attempting to destroy the entire government across all departments and agencies, driven by the mad idea that his authoritarian rule is superior to the collective wisdom and experience of professionals. That is craziness.
The first step in saving America from tyranny and ruin is to appeal to voters to improve how they select and elect their representatives. The second step in my approach is to describe how to make the economy work fairly for everyone. I published Regenerating America with Sustainable Economics (c) 2017 by James A. George and James A. Rodger. I argued that capitalism is unsustainable and that a better model is needed. I called it the optimized sustainment model and appealed to economists and business leaders to help complete the idea.
In that book, I described the relationship between economic models and political models, being careful not to use words and terms that ignite emotions and confuse the issue.

You see, you cannot improve government and the economy without making serious changes. Making changes in massively complex systems takes enormous energy and commitment by a nation’s intellectuals. It is not a job for dummies, nor is it a task for a tyrannical authoritarian.

My belief is that there are more educated intellectuals in America than ignorant and deprived persons. Organizing them to focus on a plan to improve government and the economy should be the focus of patriotic leaders.

In recent news, the followers of Bernie Sanders float the idea of democratic socialism as the way ahead. There are some good aspects of that model, though it is not a panacea for modern times. American citizens of sufficient intellect must demand more from political leaders than catch phrases. We must ask not only what they intend to do, but how they intend to accomplish it?

No, It’s Not Fine

No, It’s Not Fine
Trump’s Personal Attorney and Campaign Manager,
Guilty of Crimes

Trump’s handlers say, “He’ll be fine.” He’s throwing another tirade now, but he will persevere because, “He survived ‘Access Hollywood’?”
Everyone knows that a man of 8,000 lies won’t run out of lying. His lawyer, Giuliani even redefined the truth. Their idea is truth doesn’t matter so long as there is a sufficient number of greedy and ignorant people to empower him. Yet, wait. Trending is toward sixty percent of the population who aren’t buying it.
A man of so little character is unfit to represent citizens of the United States. The majority must speak and their voice amplified through the halls of justice. The nation’s viability as a democracy is at stake, held hostage by a tyrannical leader and corrupt Republican Congress.

The situation isn’t fine with We the People. For the one who believes it is, lock him up.

Not About Scandal and Corruption

James A. George
Democracy

Not About Scandal and Corruption
The Democratic Republic is on the line.

President Donald Trump’s personal attorney and former campaign manager were both guilty of breaking the law and are convicted felons. The fact that Trump engaged these two individuals is scandalous and creates a sense of outrage. That is just the beginning.
The fact is that Donald Trump directed his attorney to commit acts that violate Federal Election laws. The fact is that Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign manager is a felon who was also engaged in illegal activity tied to the Ukraine with ties to Vladimir Putin. The latter is not a direct link between Trump and the Russians.
However, Donald Trump’s son and son-in-law met with Russian operatives to get dirt on Hillary Clinton. That was an act with intention to cooperate and collude with Russians to interfere in US Election 2016. Those actions came at Donald’s direction and approval.
Other facts include Trump’s National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, operating illegally in engaging foreign governments as an agent without legal folio. True is that Trump showed up in Michael Steele’s portfolio where Trump is compromised by Russians. However, that is to be proven by the Special Prosecutor.

The true problem with Trump being President comes from his attacks on freedom, including the free-press. It comes from multiple attempts to violate the law by executive orders. It comes from his appointing unqualified and hostile persons to attack government departments and agencies. The catastrophe is a President who is at war with his own nation.

Trump is corrupt. The Republican Party and US Congress are corrupt. The US Government must be purged of corruption by all legal means. Timid Democrats who are stuck on scandal need to step it up to save out democracy from tyranny.

‘I barely know them.’

“I barely know them.”
Trump tries to deny involvement

Donald Trump hired his personal lawyer to deal with women with whom he had affairs. Trump wanted them silenced and sought to buy them off. His affairs with women and behavior are misogynistic. His misuse of campaign money in the payoff and his lying about it are unlawful.
He hired a campaign manager that was a crook and in deep financial trouble. He followed other Republicans who engaged the crooked Paul Manafort. Trump said he barely knew the guy with ties to Vladimir Putin.
Trump also denied knowing about his son and son-in-law meeting with Russians to get dirt on Hillary. Of course he knew and was in charge. Trump is a liar and likely as crooked as the company he keeps.

It is past time to impeach and more, it is time to lock him up.

America’s Failed Economic Model

James A. George

America’s Failed Economic Model
The greedy “takers” are happy, but workers are not.

A feature article in The New Yorker, “Ten Years After the Crash,” by George Packer discusses the precarious state of the US Economy. Trump and Republicans would have you believe that the economy is hunky dory. The infused the economy with tax cuts for the wealthy and short-changed the future generations. Otherwise, they are takers not makers.

Elected officials in both parties are not addressing the central issues about the present and future for the American economy in the context of world competition. I wrote in detail about the necessity for “Regenerating the American Economy with Sustainable Economics,” in my book with the same name. I demonstrated what economist John Ikerd concluded that capitalism as we know it is unsustainable. An alternative is needed.

Dr. Ikerd believes that capitalism may be regulated into sustainability. I am not so sure. I advocate what I call the Optimized Sustainment Model that is tailored to each nation state based on available resources and population size and demographics. I suggest that every local and state economy needs to address the engineering of an economy that is best suited to its particular characteristics.

That means that citizens in their communities can and should be engaged in the process of shaping their future. The approach extrapolates upward to each layer of governance. Economics need not be “too hard” to understand and my book illustrates that. Please read it and ask me questions. I will answer every reader’s questions personally.

Kamala Harris is Unqualified

Kamala Harris is Unqualified
Democrats must pick superior qualified candidates

Americans are no better prepared to select presidential candidates for 2020 than they were in 2016. They didn’t read my book that explains how to improve their performance. Both political parties are failing to improve the process and the next election will be another crap shoot.
As much as I appreciate Kamala Harris as a progressive Senator, a job for which she is qualified, her resume is unsuited for her being a Presidential or Vice Presidential candidate. Her best contribution would come from being a Senator or perhaps the US Attorney General.
Democrats who become preoccupied with personalities like her are a distraction from the serious business of selecting a winning, superior-qualified candidate.
There are other candidates that should not be on the list such as “too-old” Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders. Biden is more qualified than Sanders by a long measure. Technically, Biden has one of the best resumes.
Elizabeth Warren, Mark Warner, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Corey Booker should be on the list. Unfortunately the number one pick to date is Sanders. As I profiled before, he is not qualified. Mark Warner isn’t on anyone’s list and that is a mistake.

Depending on how the impeachment and prosecution of President Trump goes and the subsequent purge of his administration, a Democratic Speaker of the House could become the interim President. That means, selecting the Speaker of the House is critically important. At the moment that would be Speaker Pelosi, a huge mistake.
Selecting the Speaker of the House is akin to selecting the President.
In this article I didn’t give all the reasons why Kamala Harris is unqualified. I provide references to articles that will help you do your evaluation starting with reading her bio on Wiki.
Using my references including my book, How to Select an American President by James a. George and James A. Rodger (c)21017 Archway Publishing, then I a pleased to discuss. Ask me questions, and I will answer them.

Correcting a Big Mistake

Correcting a Big Mistake
America has slipped into a disaster

The disaster is Donald Trump, President of the United States. His presidency is a mistake for many reasons:
  1. Both major political parties produced highly flawed and deficient candidates.
  2. Neither party vetted candidates properly and lack standards and a process for doing that.
  3. Political parties should be liable for the quality of their candidates with assurance for their qualifications and certifications, as well as their mental and physical condition.
  4. Some people might say that Bernie Sanders was better than Hillary Clinton. That is false because his resume is a failure too for different reasons that I describe in my book, How to Select an American President by James A. George and James A. Rodger (c) 2017 Archway Publishing.

Because most Americans are not engaged in managing their government as required in a democratic republic, the possibility for disastrous outcomes are real in every aspect: Selecting Members of the US House of Representatives, Selecting Senators, and Presidents.
The Constitutional process is flawed by omissions. Permitting a president to select a vice president is arbitrary and undercuts voters. Voters should elect Vice Presidents just as they do Presidents. That approach is used by many states where Governors and their Lieutenants are elected separately.

Standards for political parties governing their role and tasks in the process must be defined. Guidance for how elected officials are evaluated needs improvement.
The trouble before America today is that the incumbent President is grossly unfit. The US Congress is corrupted by monied influence and conflicted motivations. The corrupt system seeks to advance by choosing judges that will side with corruption.

Therefore, the solution is to impeach and prosecute the incumbent. Reset the government to before the Trump presidency. Purge the executive branch. Purge corrupted representatives. Address Constitutional deficiencies and regulations that undermined equality and the principle of one person one vote.

It is taking too long to correct the mistake. The consequences will be felt for generations. America has dug a deep hole from which to climb to recover.

Trump’s Frontal Assault

James A. George
Donald Trump Report

Trump’s Frontal Assault
on Free Speech
A democratic republic cannot tolerate tyranny

Americans are witnessing a blatant attack on free speech and on democracy itself by Donald Trump abusing his power to retaliate against his opposition, including pulling their security clearances and intimidation. President Trump’s behavior is a litany of attacks on democracy, human rights, freedom of speech and the press.
The Republican Congress is failing to end it. Citizens are urged to vote for a Democratic Congress in the Mid-Term Election. However, every day that goes by permitting Trump to reside in office is a danger to the state. Impeachment is too good for Trump who will be proven to have broken laws and committed intolerable acts against our Constitutional form of government.

End it. Resist. Engage in peaceful protests. Demand that your elected representatives impeach Donald Trump at once. Time is of the essence. Trump is a danger to national security and the integrity of the nation.

Alternative Thinking

Alternative Thinking
That’s a Good Thing

One headline story this morning is about the “Lock Him Up” initiatives. There are more than one. Ones that matter the most are those by state prosecutors who can prosecute criminality within the states’ venue. The Federal Prosecutor must navigate the Constitutional issues regarding the treatment of a President. I have faith in the rule of law and the Supreme Court in those matters that will take time. A shorter course to capturing and prosecuting the alleged criminal, Donald Trump, might be through the states.
We the People have a say in all of this. The power of the majority voices among the electorate matters. That voice is expressed in communities and amplified by the free press.
President Trump demonstrates time and again that he is at war with the free press. He is also at war with anyone who opposes his ideas and point of view. President Trump is an incessant liar whose unacceptable behavior and character is amplified by his use of Twitter, social media, and combat with the press. The mountain of evidence of his intent to obstruct justice is voluminous. In the public domain he is self-incriminating beyond the reason of doubt for most Americans.
Trump’s retaliatory attacks on those who oppose him such as revoking the security of clearance of a former CIA Director is an authoritarian and tyrannical act. It is an attack on alternative thinking. Attempting to suppress freedom of thought by executive action is unAmerican. Donald Trump fails to uphold his oath of office. His alignment with foreign enemies of the USA is further evidence. Citizens and members of Congress who go along are complicit in obstructing justice and are accessories in the crime after the acts.

What will be done with members of Congress and leaders who were complicit in the Trump crimes?

UnPresidential Character

UnPresidential Character
Amarosa Manigault Newman and Trump Controversy

To begin, it was hard to believe that an African American woman would defend Donald Trump as a character worthy of being President of the United States. Why did Amarosa do that when Trump was a known misogynist and a racist bigot? She has now said that she believed that he was a discriminatory racist.
The answer is consistent with many others who “go along,” that is they put greed and personal ambition ahead of morality and integrity. Amarosa is a point-off-the-curve who benefited from her association with Trump up to a point. Then, she could not endure more. That is consistent with others who bailed on Trump and were run over by his bus.
Amarosa made a recording of one instance that demonstrated how Trump and his team intimidate people and offer to buy them off. Her making the recording in The White House is consistent with the Chief of Staff confiscating cell phones and dismissing those who sneaked them in against the rules. Making recordings in The White House is against the rules and is a breach of security worthy of being fired.
The complicator in this scenario is another instance of Trump trying to buy people off from revealing details about his behavior behind the scenes.
Today, Trump trash-talks the woman that he hired and praised. He claimed that he didn’t know she was fired. Of course, he did. He is an incessant liar.
American voter-citizens witness this and most witness a pattern of behavior that is unbecoming the office of president. About twenty-five percent of Americans are ignorant and conflicted and continue to go along.
