Political Party's Platforms Need to Address these Issues

We, the People, must demand that Political Parties Publish their Platforms. We must require elected office seekers to publish their manifestos describing how they intend to address their party's platform in the context of their specific jobs and responsibilities. In my book, How to Select an American President, and in blog posts about Members of the House of Representatives and Senators, I described this in copious detail.

What are the significant issues in the United States? According to the U.S. Department of State, the following are priority policy issues.

  • Anti-Corruption and Transparency.
  • Arms Control and Non-proliferation.
  • Climate Crisis.
  • Countering Terrorism.
  • COVID-19 Response and Recovery.
  • Cyber Issues.
  • Disarming Disinformation.
  • Energy.

What about inflation, the national debt, and the deficit?

What are the main social problems in the United States?

Racism and racial inequality lead as significant domestic issues.

  • Healthcare in the United States.
  • Human rights in the United States.
  • Violence against LGBT people in the United States.
  • Domestic violence in the United States.
  • Gender inequality in the United States.
  • Wealth inequality in the United States.
  • Income inequality in the United States.

What about Social Security and Medicare?

I use a technique for prioritizing based on citizens' needs for a sustainable economic life that ensures a good life for everyone. It is based on the idea of public and private partnership that characterizes the relationship between government and private enterprises. It includes providing upward mobile opportunities commensurate with individual ability and preparation through education and training.

Given: The U.S. Constitution as the primary source for the rule of law

Shown: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights as the overarching protector of all humanity

What is a "good life for all?" (I am pleased to discuss, answer questions, and debate.) I define it as providing and facilitating a minimally healthy and sustainable quality of life for children, their parents, and their grandparents.

Platform Requirements and Level of Compliance as a %

  1. Keep the nation safe from enemies, foreign and domestic, 100%
  2. Keep the country economically secure, 100%
  3. Ensure all Americans have affordable healthcare, including all medical coverage, dental, and eyecare, 100%
  4. Ensure compliance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 100%
  5. Address all aspects of inequality to close the gaps 100%
  6. Protect the nation's utilities and communications, including cyber security, 100%
  7. Ensure the country has a competitively superior infrastructure, 100%
  8. Achieve energy independence from fossil fuels and replace them with green energy solutions,100%
  9. Ensure clean air and water 100%
  10. Promote Manufacturing America to ensure national defense capabilities across all industry sectors 100%

What I want and advocate is political parties' policies, legislation, and actions accomplishing these things and proposals for anything else they believe should be addressed.

Parsing Nikki Haley's Words

No Basis for Trust

I listened intently to every word in Nikki Haley's first campaign speech today. There were no substantive content, manifesto, or implications for a Republican Party Platform (which should have come first, though it does not exist.)

  1. Experience as South Carolina Governor -- She was a good governor, enhancing her light resume.
  2. Relative Youth
  3. Stale Ideas and Faded Names of the Past -- she said that except has offered nothing to demonstrate fresh ideas and solutions to the nation's pressing needs and problems.
  4. Trump Appointed her U.N. Ambassador -- surprising; she was excellent.
  5. The First Minority Female Governor in History -- indisputable
  6. America is not a Racist Country -- she said that, except that is not the facts or history.
  7. Support of Tax and Regulation Cuts -- this is the old Republican party line and the trickle-down notion that doesn't work.
  8. Biden Bashing -- bashing in the absence of specifics proves nothing -- air ball.

South Carolina, at 5.191 million population, is smaller than Georgia and North Carolina. Ohio, for instance, is larger than those states. S.C. is important because it hosts the U.S. Military. There are eight military bases in South Carolina. Every armed forces branch except the Coast Guard has bases in S.C. South Carolina, including Fort Jackson, U.S. Navy Hospital Beaufort, Naval Weapons Station Charleston, Shaw Air Force Base, Joint Base Charleston, Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, and Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island.

"The economy of South Carolina was ranked the 25th largest in the United States based on the gross domestic product in 2022. Tourism, centered around Myrtle BeachCharleston, and Hilton Head Island, is the state's largest industry. The state's other major economic sector is advanced manufacturing located primarily in the Upstate and the Lowcountry."

Nikki's husband, William Michael Haley, is a commissioned officer in the South Carolina Army National Guard who served as the First Gentleman of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017. He was the first man to hold the position. He is the husband of former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

Nikki Haley's albatross is from her compromising her integrity to follow Trump.

Political Liability and Accountability Law

Congress must legislate the standards for political party corporations, their members, and elected officials. The lack thereof permits candidates and incumbents to lie and perform illegally without impunity.

It begins with political parties as non-profit corporations. They must be required to publish party platforms annually from which candidates bear their brand publish manifestos demonstrating how they will align or deviate from their party's platform (annually or more frequently as needed).

Standards for organizations and their member agents or representatives are the baselines for accountability.

55/118

I scored Nikk Haley 55 points, which does not indicate a highly-qualified candidate for the US President or Vice President. Her character is flawed, as indicated by public waffling. Her education needs to be improved for the job, and while South Carolina accepted her job experience, the nation should not.

Ron DeSantis scored higher than most others using my approach. There is no doubt that he is a well-educated person, brilliant, and has excellent military experience. The trouble I have is ideological and his radical views and performance during the nation's pandemic. His alliance with the no-platform Republican party undermines his credibility.
