Democracy Lost

Sorry to report that the battle to hold onto the American democratic experience was lost in 2016 with the election of Donald Trump. The war ended then and the Democratic Party is void of the capacity to deliver a winning candidate.

The old GOP was replaced by the Party of Trump. The party of Obama never emerged after Barrack's retreat and disappearance. Obama put his personal brand on the party and its mechanisms and when he left, there was nothing left. Clinton tried rebranding, though her legacy and baggage didn't work.

Neither of the two major political parties is worthy of public trust and support. Read my books such as How to Select an American President by James A. George and James A.
