Trump Makes Case for Impeachment

In his own words in an interview with George Stephanopoulos President Donald Trump insists that he would accept dirt on political opponents from foreign governments. That defiant statement is sufficient to impeach Trump for a treasonous act. No one in government can have a security clearance for accepting such information from foreign governments without reporting it to the FBI, immediately.

The time to impeach Trump for this and 8-10 other counts of obstruction of justice is now, without delay.
Democrats in the US House and Republican patriots must act to conduct an impeachment query and to make the case, including Emoluments Clause violations of the US Constitution.
They must close the case with articles of impeachment and send them to the Senate for action. The case is so compelling the Republican Senators must choose between the law or their political ideology that is unAmerican. That evidence will be apparent to voters for them to choose in Election 2020.

"Even in the age of Trump, when we've gotten used to hearing unbelievable things, this was a stunner. The President, in an Oval Office interview with ABC News' George Stephanopoulos, said he would listen to a foreign government if it came to him with dirt on a political opponent. "I think you might want to listen," Trump said. "There isn't anything wrong with listening." Remember, the President has consistently downplayed Russian efforts to meddle in the 2016 contest and cast doubts on US intelligence agencies' assessments of it. Trump's statement also is at odds with FBI Director Christopher Wray's comment during his confirmation hearings that politicians and their operatives should report to the FBI attempts by foreign governments to interfere in US elections. Trump told ABC, "The FBI director is wrong.""
