Election Vote Counting Broadcasts

Remiss it would be to not comment about the current version of TV election vote counting coverage in America. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer studio commentators who sit down to deliver their reports versus those who wander, walking around the studio from one side to another to shout at a specialist at a big touch computer screen.

The analyst at the big screen could also be sitting down at a computer from which the folks at home see the screen. Impressive are the computer analytics and predictive capabilities. Having reports live from the field locations is also interesting as is hearing from voters who exit the polls.

All in all, the media have kept the process as honest as it can be. I believe in the American political system. Flawed are the political leaders who fail to have their platforms and manifestos ready for citizen review well in advance of the elections.

I wrote about that in The President’s Manifesto © 2020 All Rights Reserved, for which I offer a free copy. I will email a pdf copy for the asking.

Please read my books. They are enlightening. If not, you can say so in a review on Amazon.com.

Surely, I love good reviews too.

The Trumplican Party

Today, Donald Trump continues to advance claims of voter fraud and flawed vote counting without merit. He said in advance that he would sick his lawyers onto the American system, no matter what. Trump was frantically desperate that he might lose. The results say, based on the votes, he lost.

Donald Trump garnered a sizeable constituency under the banner of the Republican Party. While some Republican elected representatives might want to distance themselves, they can't. They compromised their integrity and now are stuck.

What happens next? Donald Trump will face a flurry of civil and criminal litigation, including tax fraud, business fraud, and slander, at a minimum. Legal experts predict sentencing for alleged crimes could amount to 10-20 years of incarceration. Also caught in the net with him are his family members.

The news emanating from the trials and prosecution will continue to undermine the Trump brand, including his political party and disciples.

Senators and Members of the House who bore allegiance to Trump remain in office. What will they do? At what point will "leaders" emerge among them to reposition and reconstruct the brand?

Americans who voted for Trump did so for two reasons: 1) they preferred the party platform that changed little from the 2016 version; 2) they underrated the importance of character and integrity.

I think most Americans will have trouble embracing political parties with leaders who are liars and cheats. The backlash to Trump being a liar and cheater will likely increase as more information is made available.

Unfortunately, the nation cannot ignore the underlying voters who elected Trump -- who were tricked or whose ignorance and flawed values were exploited.

A huge problem remains with bigotry in America that is evidenced in the rural and urban divide.

Education is the answer, yet as Dorothy Parker said, "You can lead a whore to culture, but you can't make her think."

Americans Split

Rural vs. Urban, Uneducated vs. Educated, Colored vs. White, Rich vs. Poor, Capitalists vs. Socialists, Character Matters vs. Not, Religious vs. Not, Human Rights vs. Not

4 November 2020, Americans awoke, staring themselves in their faces, seeing who and what they are. The divisions are real, and the lines are drawn.

Now might be the last time that this political analyst and independent journalist addresses American politics. The reason being that I have exhausted my contribution in the forms of:

How to Select an American President by James A. George and James A. Rodger (c) 2017 Archway Publishing

Regenerating America with Sustainable Economics by James A. George and James A. Rodger (c) 2017 Archway Publishing

Smart Data, Enterprise Performance Optimization Strategy by James A. George and James A. Rodger (c) 2010 Wiley Publishing

My analysis of the audience is that one half of Americans could find value from these works. One half doesn't read books. Of the non-readers, one half are ignorant to the point of being nearly illiterate. Can these generalities be proven?

According to Pew Research, "Roughly a quarter of U.S. adults (27%) say they haven't read a book in whole or in part in the past year," and that includes print and digital media.

"The highest percentage of readers by age was 88 percent, among the 18-24 age group, followed by 86 percent in the 16-17 range. Readers in the 30-39 group were a close third at 84 percent. The lowest percentage of readers was among people older than 65, at 68 percent."

Fifteen percent of the U.S. population has specific reading disorders.

Forty-six percent of American adults can't understand the labels of their prescriptions.

Fifty percent of U.S. adults are unable to read a book at an eighth-grade level.

Forty-two percent of college students never read another book after they graduate.

Eighty percent of U.S. families did not buy a book this year.

Fifteen percent of inmates in prisons and jails are literate. (Note: 15 percent are literate, not illiterate.)

My conclusion is that Americans are too stupid to support a democratic republic; thus, they vote for authoritarians.

Sobering Numbers

Wars ranked by US combat deaths.

1 World War II 1941–45 291,557

2 American Civil War  1861–65 218,222

3 World War I 1917–18 53,402

4 Vietnam War 1955–75 58,220

5 Korean War 1950–53 33,686

6 American Revolutionary War 1775–83 8,000

7 Iraq War 2003–2011 3,836

8 War of 1812 1812–15 2,260

9 War in Afghanistan 2001–present 1,833

10 Mexican–American War 1846–49 1,733

COVID 19 Pandemic Deaths to date: 218,000

By Christmas this year, 2020, there are likely to be as many US COVID 19 deaths as US soldiers lost in WWII. The number of COVID 19 deaths today are as high as the total number of soldiers that died in the US Civil War. US COVID 19 deaths will be nearly four times the number of US soldiers lost in WWI or Vietnam.

At least 100,000 COVID 19 deaths could have been prevented by swifter and more effective action by the President and his cabinet officials. That is why Donald Trump is likely to be removed from office.

Is his removal sufficient to address the damage committed by his administration to the nation, national and economic security? Should he be tried for reckless endangerment and treason by undermining his oath of office and pursuit of a litany of illegal actions as determined by the courts?

Hold him accountable.

Trump's Unnatural Event

I watched the Trump rally report today and observed some African Americans in the crowd. Not all Americans of color are Democrats. I understand that. However, at this juncture, who among them would be supporting Trump?

As reported, Candace Owen's BLEXIT Foundation paid for some attendees. Who is she?

Candace Amber Owens Farmer (née Owens; born April 29, 1989) is an American conservative author, commentator, and political activist. Initially critical of President Donald Trump and the Republican Party, Owens has become known for her increasingly pro-Trump activism as a black woman, in addition to her criticism of Black Lives Matter and the Democratic Party. She worked for the conservative advocacy group Turning Point USA between 2017 and 2019 as its communications director.

"Some guests for Saturday's White House event on the South Lawn, which will be President Donald Trump's first since testing positive for the coronavirus, had their travel and lodging paid for by controversial conservative activist Candace Owens' group BLEXIT, according to emails obtained by ABC News.

Supporters, who are also scheduled to attend a separate BLEXIT event earlier in the day, were invited to attend a "HUGE outdoor rally" by the group and asked to fill out a form that notified them that BLEXIT, a campaign urging Black Americans to leave the Democratic Party, will be covering travel costs."

The White House is not intended for political campaigning, and hosting an event to paid attendees may be a violation of campaign laws, or BLEXIT's foundation non-profit regulations. Go investigate.

Wanted For Reckless Endangerment

President Trump continues to march on, contaminated by the COVID virus, and spreading his germs with unsafe practices. The public antics include a nonessential joyride at Walter Reed Medical Center, followed by a coerced "early-release" to return to The White House.

More importantly, this behavior pattern stems from his disregarding and undermining the CDC's guidance to all Americans to wear masks and keep a safe distance.

Trump dithered and disavowed the early warnings on which he could have acted earlier to save a hundred thousand lives. His dereliction and intentional mismanagement persisted throughout the pandemic crisis and to this moment.

Donald Trump and his disciples in government must be held accountable for preventable deaths and damage to the nation for this and other actions during his tenure.

Americans like me demand investigation and prosecution into Trump and any illegalities for which he can be prosecuted and punished.

I advocate a special prosecution team be established as a Trump Crime Tribunal to pursue all allegations to a successful resolution where possible.

Clarity About Trump

The truth is transparent, Trump lies, and he forces his followers to go along with him, even professionals.

Donald Trump loaded the Rose Garden for the Judicial Nominee Appointment, forfeiting CDC protocols. Maskless Republicans wandered freely, spreading COVID contamination among Senators and aides. We don't know how far it has spread until or unless contact tracing is complete.

We know; he didn't care enough about people, friends, and staff, to protect them.

Do you honestly believe he cares about We the People more than he cares about himself?
