Defrock the Republican Party

Is it possible that we could one day read this: “the Supreme Court found the Republican Party in contempt of the nation and defrocked them as a political party?"

What are the legal standards for political parties in the United States of American?  The trouble begins here.

America is a renegade nation by allowing political parties to operate without proper standards and regulations commensurate with being corporations with certain obligations, responsibilities, liabilities, and accountabilities to members and the general population in which they operate.

“The legal status of political parties in the United States is far from being clearly defined. On the one hand, we do not have a mass of legislation and court decisions clearly constituting the political party as a branch of the government, as in the leading fascist countries of Europe; and, on the other hand, we do not have a situation similar to that of Great Britain or France, where political parties are practically unregulated except for laws designed to control subversive groups. To gain a concept of the legal position of American political parties, a great deal of legislation which differs widely in many particulars among the forty-eight states must be surveyed, and certain categories of common and public law must be explored. Even when the many branches of the law that seem to impinge upon the subject have been brought into view, the legal position of our political parties still seems elusive and indefinite. Yet the subject is one of considerable practical importance, since the near future is likely to bring insistent demands for new and more drastic regulation of political parties. A consideration of the rights of American political parties, and the scope of the powers of the legislature to interfere with parties in the public interest, therefore seems appropriate at the present time.”

Any organization that wants to become a political party should keep in mind unique regulations. First, national party committees may not accept or direct any funds outside the limits and prohibitions of federal law. Second, certain activity by state, district and local committees, termed federal election activity (FEA), is uniquely regulated. Third, party committees are restricted in how they may support certain tax exempt organizations.”

Now, reading the news, the renegade Republicans and renegade Secretary of State flaunt the US Constitution and the citizenry with baseless lies that undermine national security and the health of the nation.

“GOP ALL IN ON ELECTION REJECTION As President Donald Trump and GOP leaders line up behind the false claim of a stolen election, the Trump-led General Services Administration is resisting signing paperwork that would give President-elect Joe Biden and his team access to millions in transition funds and official access to government officials and equipment to prepare the incoming administration. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo appeared to completely dismiss the election results, saying “There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration.” [HuffPost]

Recalcitrance and Obstruction

America is deep into a crisis as a democratic republic. The incumbent President refuses to accept defeat by the majority of voters adjudicated by the American political system. His political party, Republicans, have failed to accept the outcome amid baseless claims of fraud. The President-elect, Biden, is stymied from working on the transition

Trump fired his Defense Secretary amid chaos. Still, Republicans permit our national security and health security to be undermined by incompetence and behavioral disorder among the top leadership. When and how will this end?

Hundreds of thousands of Americans are dying and their health and safety are at stake. Are we in another state of civil war? Where is the Congress that is supposed to help mitigate and represent us?

Maybe corporate America can bring some influence and focus to the Republican Party because investors have everything to lose as this situation remains unresolved.

All of the Departments under Trump are corrupted by his authoritarianism. We are a banana republic that cannot even grow bananas. HELP!

Dealing with Incorrigible Partners, Biden and the Republicans

By James A. George © 2020 All Rights Reserved

At the outset of the Biden Presidency, it is necessary to deal with Donald Trump and his political party which insists on not conceding their loss. The Trump personality is adopted by Republicans and that has real and lasting consequences. While President-elect Biden extended the opportunity to cooperate, President Trump stiff-armed the offer.

For certain, Donald Trump is an incorrigible personality (of a person or their tendencies not able to be corrected, improved, or reformed.). His character as a leader of a democratic republic is flawed to an extreme. Critics may challenge the basis of these characterizations, and I want to address them. The reason for investing this effort is an intervention with Republicans to confront their acquired behavior disorder.

How Donald Trump acquired and developed his personality traits is a matter for psychiatrists and psychologists to assess. When Donald Trump appeared on the political scene, the public already knew quite a bit about him. The political party that adopted him as a candidate or which permitted him to use their branded affiliation was responsible for vetting him.

In my book, How to Select an American President by James A. George and James A. Rodger © 2017 Archway Publishing, I emphasized the importance of mental and physical health as well as character. I advocated a Board-Certified assessment of Presidential candidates. When I was hired as an executive by Fortune 500 companies, I had such an assessment to ensure my suitability for managing people and organizations. I expect the same for elected officials in all branches of government. I expect them to comply with the same rigor that government employees must also follow.

Those standards that I advocate are not adopted and followed today, and that is an underlying problem.

Donald Trump was sent to a Military Academy for schooling because his parents could not control his aggressive and deviant personality. That is a fact. If you want to read more about, try this article among a hundred more.

At this point, what matters is that Donald Trump’s personality and behavior are not traits to be emulated, respected, or proliferated. By the Republican leadership doing that, makes them incorrigible too. That circumstance makes moving forward impossible.

Are 74 million Americans stuck with 70 million Americans with flawed behavioral disorders? That is the question.
