Dealing with Incorrigible Partners, Biden and the Republicans

By James A. George © 2020 All Rights Reserved

At the outset of the Biden Presidency, it is necessary to deal with Donald Trump and his political party which insists on not conceding their loss. The Trump personality is adopted by Republicans and that has real and lasting consequences. While President-elect Biden extended the opportunity to cooperate, President Trump stiff-armed the offer.

For certain, Donald Trump is an incorrigible personality (of a person or their tendencies not able to be corrected, improved, or reformed.). His character as a leader of a democratic republic is flawed to an extreme. Critics may challenge the basis of these characterizations, and I want to address them. The reason for investing this effort is an intervention with Republicans to confront their acquired behavior disorder.

How Donald Trump acquired and developed his personality traits is a matter for psychiatrists and psychologists to assess. When Donald Trump appeared on the political scene, the public already knew quite a bit about him. The political party that adopted him as a candidate or which permitted him to use their branded affiliation was responsible for vetting him.

In my book, How to Select an American President by James A. George and James A. Rodger © 2017 Archway Publishing, I emphasized the importance of mental and physical health as well as character. I advocated a Board-Certified assessment of Presidential candidates. When I was hired as an executive by Fortune 500 companies, I had such an assessment to ensure my suitability for managing people and organizations. I expect the same for elected officials in all branches of government. I expect them to comply with the same rigor that government employees must also follow.

Those standards that I advocate are not adopted and followed today, and that is an underlying problem.

Donald Trump was sent to a Military Academy for schooling because his parents could not control his aggressive and deviant personality. That is a fact. If you want to read more about, try this article among a hundred more.

At this point, what matters is that Donald Trump’s personality and behavior are not traits to be emulated, respected, or proliferated. By the Republican leadership doing that, makes them incorrigible too. That circumstance makes moving forward impossible.

Are 74 million Americans stuck with 70 million Americans with flawed behavioral disorders? That is the question.
