It is most apparent to many Americans how the nation is divided between the right-wing radicalism of white American Republicans and the middle-to-left wing progressive Democrats. Are most Americans progressive or regressive, that is the question?

Progressives are persons advocating or implementing social reform or new, liberal ideas. Regressives are persons wanting to return to a former or less developed state while taking a proportionally greater amount from those on lower incomes.
