We Can't Breathe

George Floyd's last words, "I can't breathe,"
is the latest expression of exasperation
with the American government led by
Donald Trump and his disciples,
who was elected, not by popular vote,
but by a compromised political system.

The compromise is the result of a twisted effort
by right-wing conservatives
to garner power through money
raised by political action groups
undermining one-person-one-vote.
They did that under the guise of free speech.

The outcome was the opposite.
Their strategy is exploiting bigotry, fear,
and ignorance, including religion.
It worked before, but not again;
'We can't breathe.'
Vote them out in November.
