Arrest Kevin McCarthy for Sedition
Kevin McCarthy, House Minority Leader, opposes a bipartisan and independent investigation into the January 6 insurrection that resulted in death, destruction, and disruption of the presidential election process. He leads fellow Republicans in opposing this action because they want to sweep the event under the rug without fully understanding how it happened and people's roles in the process, including him.
Today, the problem facing the American democratic republic is that Trump-led Republicans are insurrectionists intent on undermining the government. While they are seated in government, they have a conflict of interest, so a third-party investigation is essential.
Journalist Elie Honig is keeping the heat on.
" the Justice Department, which, to date, has brought criminal charges against over 400 Capitol insurrectionists while stating publicly it expects approximately 100 more prosecutions to come. That's a lot of cases and a fine start, but it's not enough. Remember that, at Attorney General Merrick Garland's confirmation hearing, when asked if he would look "upstream" from the Capitol rioters themselves to those who had funded, aided and abetted the riot, Garland talked tough: "We begin with the people on the ground and we work our way up to those who are involved and further involved and we will pursue these leads, wherever they take us."

I join Elie in asking the Attorney General, where are the sedition charges? What is the status of the upstream investigation?
Maybe the AG and Biden are holding off to let Congress initiate an independent investigation. Yet, if Republicans block it, then let the chips fall and AG Garland must act swiftly to make some cases.

By All Legal Means
The Republican Party embraces former President, Donald Trump who engaged in illegalities and promoted an insurrection and assault on the election process. His time to appear in the US Court system for alleged crimes is overdue. One cause for delay is his having hidden under the shrowd of protection afforded Presidents while they are in office. Another reason is his lack of transparency and obstruction. Yet, another is that American justice takes time, complicated by politics.
The nation's integrity as a democracy is at stake. Republicans and their actions as a political party are a direct assault on the republic. Not since the Civil War has there been such a circumstance.
How do Democrats and freedom-loving Republicans confront the situation? As in the case of Nazi Germany, history shows that ignoring and going along is not a viable or acceptable alternative.
Therefore, each action by the Republicans which constitute illegality must be taken to court swiftly.
A bipartisan legal team composed of legal scholars and prosecutors is needed to preserve, protect, and defend our Constitution and nation.
Advocated is a campaign to label Republicans as enemies from within. Every move any Republican legislator makes that is deemed improper or illegal is met with charges and prosecution at every level.
