Shifty Bernie Sanders

Allegiance and loyalty matter as characteristics that are important for voters to consider in a presidential candidate. Why is that? It is because a president must form collaborative teams to get work done in a democratic republic such as the USA. Alignment with the sponsoring party is critical and in that, Bernie Sanders is shaky.

Bernie Sanders party affiliations include:

• Liberty Union (Before 1979)
• Independent (1979–2015; 2016–present)
• Democratic (2015-2016)

Now, Bernie the Democrat-for-convenience is once again an independent.

PHILADELPHIA – Bernie Sanders said he plans to return to the Senate as an independent, despite winning 13 million votes in the Democratic Party’s presidential primary contest. 

“I was elected as an independent; I’ll stay two years more as an independent,” Mr. Sanders said."

While people fret that the Democratic Party leadership may have treated Bernie unfairly, one might seriously ask, why would they treat him as a full-fledged Democrat in the first place?
