Knock down drag out over what is America

By selecting Indiana Governor, Mike Pence as his VP running mate, Donald Trump is presenting the challenge to Americans to define itself as a nation. Are Americans economically, politically, socially, and environmentally conservative or not? It may be that American voters are witnessing the last gasp from white male well-to-do's to corral ideologically right-wing extremists to form a voting majority. Is that possible? Is it probable?

The alternative is Hillary Clinton, who is a centrist Democrat whose party has moved her to the left. Her appeal is to women and to minorities of all kinds who may feel alienated by the GOP. Democrats are arguably more compassionate, and more committed to improving economic conditions from government policy engineering.

While Trump has shored up his conservative bonafide with the addition of Mike Pence, Hillary Clinton must decide which alternative candidate can strengthen her liberal credentials while adding a critical state. That might bode well for former Virginia Governor and Senator, Tim Kaine.

When it comes to debating what America needs, this analyst hopes that the battle for ideas is centered upon sustainable economics. Which ticket has the best plan and war forward for creating upward mobile job opportunities with prosperity that is sufficient to eliminate poverty in America?
