Lying is a crime; Trump is a felon

President Trump lies as a matter of routine. He is a perpetual lying propagandist, intent on distorting and inventing information to justify his authoritarian actions. He does this with the support of the Republican Party. Lying is a crime and lying from a person of his stature in government is a "high crime." For that, he should be impeached.

However, because Congress is controlled by one party that favors the President, it is obstructing justice by failing to pursue his many crimes. Misprision is the latest violation.

18 U.S. Code § 4 - Misprision of felony
The federal definition of misprision requires that “(1) the principal committed and completed the felony alleged; (2) the defendant had knowledge of the fact; (3) the defendant failed to notify the authorities; and (4) the defendant took affirmative steps to conceal the crime of the principal.”

Donald Trump was aware of Michael Flynn's contacts with the Russians. He withheld that information from Vice President Pence. When Flynn lied about to the press, the President let it go. In doing so, he committed a felony. That is the charge from this journalist that will surely see legal action from attorneys.
"In case after case, scandal after scandal, American federal law enforcement officials have clearly shown by their indictments and prosecutions that there is no confusion in their minds—lying is a crime. Businesspersons need to clearly understand those rules and what prosecutors define as lying."

President Trump is a criminal with an uncontrollable propensity to lie.
