Consequences of Trump Healthcare

President Trump issued an Executive Order “which focuses on association health plans that allow small-business owners, trade groups and others to band together to purchase health insurance, as delivering on a campaign promise: More options and lower costs,” according to The Hill.

The trouble with it is that it removes the common standard imposed as being the minimum requirement for acceptable care. That means, ignorant and vulnerable consumers can sign up for cheaper insurance that will leave them holding the high-cost bag if they get sick or are injured.

This move is away from having centralized and standardized health care, just the opposite from Obamacare.

Consumers beware. Would you buy a used car from this President?

“How it would work. The association health plans would be exempt from certain Obamacare rules, including requirements that it covers standard benefits, such as prescription drug coverage. To make those changes, the administration is already working to reinterpret ERISA, a massive federal law that governs many workplace benefits, people familiar with the order said - opening the door to more expansive changes that could affect Obamacare plans more directly.”
