Trump and Republican’s Failing State

Children killed at school by a former expelled student armed with an AR-15 is the tragedy today. For days before yesterday, the news was the Trump White House staffed the President’s personal secretary job with a spouse abuser who didn’t have a security clearance. The White House ignored the FBI’s report and the Chief of Staff, John Kelly knew about it and lied.

Lying is a pattern in The White House because the President is a pathological liar. He is also accused of sexual assault by twenty-two women and has a clear record of infidelity and misogyny among other degrading behaviors.

On “Gun Violence” President Trump “promised to fight against ‘American carnage’ and crime during an inaugural address last year, but glossed over the gun violence epidemic as he attempted to cast his presidency in a positive light.”
“The Trump administration was sympathetic to banning bump-stocks, the device that shooter Stephen Paddock used in his massacre, though no word has come from a Department of Justice review announced in December.”

The Trump administration and this US Congress is failing and is becoming a most unviable government as it is degrading our pluralistic democracy.

The only way ahead is to impeach them and replace the executive and legislative branches with more qualified candidates.

  1. "THE BIG IDEA: President Trump has not nominated anyone to be the director of the Office on Violence Against Women in the Justice Department.

The person in this position oversees a budget of more than $450 million and is supposed to be the administration’s leading voice on domestic and sexual violence, both nationally and internationally. By controlling the flow of grants, the director can influence programs to better protect and serve victims. Women’s advocates lobbied for years to elevate this job and require that the Senate confirm the president’s pick."
