Washington is Imploding

Donald Trump seeks to pull his wagons in a circle with demands for loyalty everywhere he turns. The President is under investigation and believes he is above the law. In a democratic republic, that is not the case.

What happens when the legislative branch led by Republicans becomes complicit with the President by participating in obstruction of justice and obscuring the facts? Democracy is eroded, and the rule of law undermined.

Revealing is additional information from the President's staff that he was complicit in leveraging the Russians to undermine the Election 2016.

In the end, free Americans cannot accept the Republican Party and the President destroying our nation. The last line of defense includes 1) unconflicted Republicans, 2) Democrats, 3) the Courts, and 4) unconflicted participants in departments and agencies who are responsible for protecting citizens from tyranny.

  1. "In an upcoming interview with special counsel Robert Mueller, a former spokesman for President Donald Trump’s legal team is expected to allege that White House communications director Hope Hicks wanted to prevent the release of emails in which the president's son sought dirt on Hillary Clinton.

Mark Corallo, a long-serving communications adviser to the Republicans, was reportedly on a conference call including the president and Hicks last July, where they discussed the White House response to revelations in The New York Times that Donald Trump Jr. set up a meeting with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in June 2016, three of Corallo’s former colleagues told the Times on Wednesday."
