'I alone can fix this.'

When Donald Trump made outrageous claims during the campaign, discerning and informed citizens were quick to see the red flags that this individual does not comprehend the American political system that is a pluralistic democratic republic.

Trump claimed that he alone could fix the "Obamacare" problem. When he failed to define the problem, that was an indication that he could not. When the Republican Congress repeatedly declared that they wanted to repeal Obamacare without replacing it, what did that say?

Republicans stated that they did not want to address the needs of 30 million uninsured Americans. They preferred that sick people choke the emergency rooms. They prefer that people who are sick and poor just die and go away.

That is unacceptable.

Republicans won their offices, not by being socially responsible, but by distracting uneducated citizens by making them believe that their government was their enemy. Well, today, under Republican leadership that is true.

The Trump government is not attending the needs of American citizens with economic, social, and environmental responsibility. They have set the stage for destroying the environment and continuing to pad the wealthy at the expense of the poor and middle class.

Can Trump fix this by himself? Departing from office would be a good start. Impeaching those who colluded with him would be another.

Say goodbye, Donald Trump.
